Attendance Incentive Program

Valerio has implemented an Attendance Incentive Program in order to encourage and motivate students to come to school everyday and on time!

This program rewards students for individual attendance, as well as classrooms who achieve perfect attendance for their whole class.

Monthly Attendance: Students who have perfect attendance for the month will receive a certificate for a free meal to Denny’s Restaurant.

Classroom Attendance: All classrooms have a “Perfect Attendance” poster. The class colors one letter each day for each day of perfect attendance (no absesnces or tardies).  When the entire class achieves Perfect Attendance (17 days) they win a special prize.

Classroom Attendance: The class in each grade level with the highest attendance rate for the month gets to post a special banner on their door. They also get their photo taken, and it is displayed outside the main office

What is excellent attendance?

Important Reminders

  • Breakfast in the Classroom is served from 8:00-8:20 a.m.
  • Valerio's entrance gates will close promptly at 8:00 a.m. Late students must enter school through the Main Office.
  • Please send a note explaining your child's absence when he/she returns to school.

Helpful Tips for Parents

  • Children should be in bed by 8:00 p.m. on school nights
  • No TV on school mornings
  • Teach children to set and use their own alarm clock or clock radio
  • Choose clothes the night before
  • Have backpacks, jackets, and other items ready  to go the night before
  • Bathe or shower in the evening
  • Go to bed 10 minutes earlier and get up 10 minutes earlier
  • Help your child relax before bedtime with a story, instead of the stimulation of television
  •  When your child is ready for school on time, remember to let him or her know how much this helps the whole family
